The Fabulous! Podcast by Dominique James

The soon-to-be-launched Fabulous! podcast is the first and the only photography-driven podcast from Manila that talks to all the right people within the photography circle of Dominique James. In a casual, revealing, lively, intimate, and no-holds-barred conversation with the some of the leading and most prominent insiders, professional photographer Dominique James shares with you the many unique perspectives into Manila’s photo-driven industries such as entertainment, fashion, advertising, and many more. He talks to people you hear, see and read about in the news such as fashion designers, stylists, hair-and-makeup artists, talent managers, models, celebrities, socialites, among others. He asks questions and look for answers on things that interest you or matters you are curious about. Unlike most photography podcasts that focus on the very limited and often boring aspects of equipment and the technical nature of photography, the Fabulous! podcast deals with the other, more interesting side of photography--the creative process--from the point of view of the people with whom Dominique James collaborates and works with. It’s a quick but deep probe into the naughty, irreverent and creative minds of the people who work together to produce some of the most visually compelling images we see today. For the first 3 introductory episodes, Dominique James talks to fashion stylist Frederick Sy, top male model Matt Maki, and legendary fashion designer Barge Ramos. Each of the podcast last from 15 to 30 minutes only. Together with the Fabulous! podcast by Dominique James, more than 20 other original Filipino podcasts with various formats will be formally launched by Microwarehouse this month. These are: Politics (Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism), Gay Speak (Danton Remoto), Talk Show & Debate (Pam Pastor - Inquirer/Y-Speak), Poetry (Cookie Tuason, KC Concepcion, Chinggay Alonzo, Heights Ateneo Poetry Group), Starstruck (Freddie Santos), Mommy Talk (Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan/Smart Parenting), Jessica (Jessica Zafra), OPM (Tina Dumlao), Campus (Halikinu Radio), Tech Talk (M|PH Magazine), Social Tattler (Anton San Diego), For Men Only (FHM Magazine), For Women Only (Myrza Sison, Ianne Sison/MC & Cosmo Magazine/Summit Group), Beauty (Beauty Editors - Cosmo, Preview, Marie Claire, Metro & Mega), Book Review (Fully Booked), PhilMUG (Philippine Macintosh Users Group), Food (Nancy Reyes Lumen), Education (Herbie Sansianco/De La Salle University), Entertainment (OK/Yes Magazine), and, Kahapon Lamang/Only Yesterday (Eddie Ilarde). Considered by many to be the new Internet, podcasting takes its name and concept from the words iPod and broadcasting. It is a audio platform that brings information and all kinds of audio content to all iTunes users of the world. Essentially, it revolutionizes the way we use the iPod. Statistics show that there are 4,008 global podcasts to date and among these only about 13 are produced from the Philippines. Microwarehouse (the exclusive and official distributor of iPods in the country), in an effort to promote more meaningful and varied iPod usage, aims to fortify the dearth of Philippine podcast channels and offerings by co-developing substantial and relevant content in various categories that are truly responsive to the needs of consumers. These podcasts are all-Filipino audio programs that can make significant contribution to the world of podcasting. The Fabulous! podcast by Dominique James is an audio production of The Dominique James Photography Studio. It is supported by Epson Philippines, Fuji YKL, Globis, Airborne Access, The Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI), John Robert Powers, Runway Productions, and CalCarrie International Models. This podcast is made possible by Microwarehouse, SoundCrew Studio, and Brian Cua (Hit Productions).
